German writing and presentation exercises (B1–C1)

The writing and speaking sections of exams call for a different kind of preparation from grammar: each text type has its own set phrases. The four exercises on this page practise the Redemittel needed for summaries, job applications, letters of complaint and presentations, together with their functions.

Each exercise has four steps: matching phrases with their functions, choosing the right expression, form rules with Richtig/Falsch, and completing phrases in writing. It can be used directly when preparing for Goethe, telc and TestDaF.
