German Job Application Exercise (B1–B2)

A cover letter has the same skeleton for every job advert: Betreff, salutation, introduction, main body, closing and sign-off. This exercise matches each section with an example sentence and then drills the formatting rules: lower case after the salutation, no full stop in the Betreff, no comma after the sign-off.

On the Lebenslauf side, two rules are decisive: the most recent information goes at the top, and your language level is given together with its certificate. The explanations in the exercise use examples to show typical mistakes carried over from other application habits (personal details, overly long letters).
