C1–C2 Interactive Exercises
Level C1–C2 has three stages. Practise nominal structures, attributes and the Genitiv with C1.1 first, then move on to Konjunktiv, modality and advanced connectors with C1.2; the C2 stage covers registers, text types and academic language. Choose the stage you want to start with below.
C1–C2 German grammar exercises
C1–C2 is the most advanced level, where you use German at an academic and formal level with near-native finesse. In C1.1 you practise structures typical of written language such as the Nominalstil (nominalisations), Genitiv-Präpositionen, extended participle constructions, Funktionsverbgefüge and Passiversatz; in C1.2, Konjunktiv I/II with indirekte Rede, subjective modal verbs, Modalpartikeln and advanced connecting adverbs.
At this level the difference lies not in knowing the rules but in choosing the right structure in the right context; the exercises' instant, explained feedback makes exactly these fine differences of choice visible. They provide topic-by-topic consolidation for anyone preparing for Goethe and telc C1–C2 or academic exams such as TestDaF and DSH.
