A2 Interactive Exercises
Level A2 has two grammar stages and a thematic section. First consolidate cases, pronouns and prepositions with A2.1, then practise verbs, tenses and comparison with A2.2. Choose the stage you want to start with below.
A2 German grammar exercises
A2 is the level where you take basic German into everyday communication. In A2.1 you consolidate the difference between Akkusativ and Dativ, prepositions of place and direction (Wo/Wohin), weil and dass clauses, ordinal numbers and the Perfekt of tricky verbs; in A2.2 you practise modal, separable and reflexive verbs, the Präteritum of sein, haben and the modal verbs, Futur I, and comparison with Komparativ and Superlativ.
Because the exercises give instant feedback, you see your mistake straight away, read the explanation and reinforce the correct form — a quick method for revision before an exam, too. If you struggled with a topic, it is a good idea to go back to the related grammar lesson and try again.
