The exercise itself is in German; the explanation pages it links to are in Turkish.

B2.1 · Passiv II

Passiv: Modalverben & Zustandspassiv (passive with modal verbs and the state passive)

Vorgangspassiv (werden + Partizip II) stresses an action; with a modal verb the pattern is 'Modalverb + Partizip II + werden'. Zustandspassiv (sein + Partizip II), on the other hand, describes the result or state. You will work out the correct form yourself in the exercise. All exercise content is in German.

Recognise: match each Passiversatz sentence (sich lassen, -bar, sein + zu) with its passive equivalent with a modal verb.

B2 Passive with Modal Verbs and State Passive (Passiv mit Modalverben, Zustandspassiv) – Exercises

When you say in the passive that something has to be done, you use modal verb + Partizip II + "werden"; here "werden" stays in the infinitive and goes to the end of the sentence. For example, the active sentence "Man muss das Formular ausfüllen" becomes "Das Formular muss ausgefüllt werden" in the passive: the modal verb is conjugated in second position and "ausgefüllt werden" moves to the end. The state passive (Zustandspassiv), by contrast, describes not the action but the state that results from it, and is formed with "sein" + Partizip II. "Das Geschäft ist geöffnet" (the shop is open – a state) clearly differs in meaning from "Das Geschäft wird geöffnet" (it is being opened – the action itself).

📌
Golden rule: In the passive the action is formed with werden + Partizip II; when a modal verb is added, the modal is conjugated and "werden" stays in the infinitive: "muss repariert werden"; the resulting state is sein + Partizip II.

In each sentence you decide whether a modal passive or a state passive is needed, and choose the word order and the correct form. When you make a mistake, the explanation says why "sein" comes instead of "werden", or why "werden" stays at the end. This way you consolidate the often-confused "ist geöffnet" / "wird geöffnet" and the pattern "muss gemacht werden" right where they occur. The topic is tailor-made for B2 learners moving into formal and academic German; these structures are frequently needed in the written and oral parts of Goethe-Zertifikat B2, telc B2 and TestDaF.
