What Is telc Deutsch?
telc (The European Language Certificates) is an international language proficiency exam system run by telc gGmbH, based in Bad Homburg. It grew out of the tradition of Germany's Volkshochschulen (adult education centres) and today offers certificates that are valid at more than 3,000 institutions in over 20 countries.
The exams are offered at all CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) levels from A1 to C2 and assess the four core language skills — listening, reading, writing and speaking. Together with Goethe and ÖSD, telc is one of the three major providers of German language certificates.
