In normal mode you see the word’s English meaning and topic from the start: recall the German word and type it letter by letter. The colors guide you to the correct spelling, and you have six tries. At the end of the round, guess its article — get it right for bonus points.
Wort-Rätsel is a German take on Wordle. Instead of guessing blindly, you see the topic and (in normal mode) the English meaning of the word, so the game trains recall: you remember the German noun and spell it correctly in five letters, using ä, ö, ü and ß where needed. Green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it is in the word but somewhere else, gray means it is not in the word.
Play the word of the day (the same for everyone) or free play with A1 or A1–A2 words. Hard mode hides the meaning for extra points. At the end of each round you get one bonus question: der, die or das? The game is free, needs no account and keeps your statistics in your browser.
