In Picture ↔ word you match an emoji with its German noun (A1–B1); in Word ↔ meaning you match a German noun with its English meaning (A1–A2). Every matched word turns the color of its article (der blue, die red, das green), and the article appears on the card, so you learn the noun together with its gender.
