A German relative pronoun gets its gender and number from the noun it refers to and its case from its role in the relative clause: Der Mann, der dort steht (subject, Nominativ), but Der Film, den ich gestern sah (object, Akkusativ). In each question you see a German sentence with a gap and its English translation, and you choose the right pronoun from four options. After every answer a badge shows the antecedent’s gender (or plural) and the pronoun’s case, with a short explanation.
B1 practices the Nominativ and Akkusativ, B2 the Dativ and relative pronouns after prepositions (mit dem, auf den), and C1 the Genitiv forms dessen and deren. There is also a mixed level. A round has up to 10 questions, and you have 3 lives. The game is free, needs no account and keeps your progress in your browser.
