About Reflexiv-Meister

German reflexive verbs such as sich freuen, sich waschen or sich vorstellen need a reflexive pronoun: mich, mir, dich, dir, sich, uns or euch. The right form depends on the subject and on the case: with no other object the pronoun is usually Akkusativ (Ich wasche mich.), when the verb also has an Akkusativ object, it is usually Dativ (Ich wasche mir die Hände.). In each round you see a German sentence with a gap and its English translation, and you choose from four options. After every answer a short note explains the rule.

A2 practices Akkusativ reflexive pronouns for different subjects, B1 Dativ reflexives and verbs with prepositions, and B2 tricky cases such as sich vorstellen and reciprocal verbs (sich kennen, sich lieben); Mixed combines all three. A round has up to 10 questions, and you have 3 lives. The game is free, needs no account and keeps your progress in your browser.
