To say where you are going (Wohin?), and sometimes where you are, German uses different prepositions: nach for cities and countries without an article, zu for people, in + Akkusativ for enclosed spaces and countries with an article, an for the edge of water and auf for open surfaces and many events; bei says you are at someone’s place. In each round you see a German sentence with a gap and its English translation, and you choose the missing preposition from four options. After every answer a short note explains the rule.
Choose A1 (nach / zu / in), A2 (an / auf / bei), B1 (location vs. direction, fine distinctions such as zur Schule and in die Schule) or a mixed round. A round has up to 10 questions, and you have 3 lives. The game is free, needs no account and keeps your progress in your browser.
